Periodicals

The beginnings of the Women in Print Movement evolved as Lesbians (and feminist women) began to create newsletters and magazines either to share local news or to share information with larger, (inter)national audiences.

Lesbian periodicals and journals included a broad range of topics and interests. From literary arts (poetry and stories) to essays to activism and theory, these publications provided insight, comfort, news, political opinion, and more to give voice and visibility to Lesbian experiences and interests.

We are still actively adding details to the catalog of our current collection. The list continues to grow and change. We’ve also tried to include weblinks to already digitized editions. If you know of additional links, please let us know archives@wanderground.org!
